Odds and ends

The last month has been a busy one, but there's not a whole lot of good pictures of finished work. Here's a few shots of some small side projects. The first is a wall cabinet made using the door from an old electrical fuse panel cover. The cover was saved from a job a while back as it was replaced with a modern breaker panel. Complete with a riveted metal plate stating it's approval from the local municipality, and the original nameplate, from the Square D Co., Detroit, Michigan. (Square D is no longer based in Detroit)

The second is a new armrest and center seat storage unit for my truck. My old truck had one, and I missed having it. It's made of spare Michigan White Ash, and has a leather cushion on top (the upholstery job is my first attempt at it, and probably leaves a bit to be desired). There's room for folders and paperwork on the bottom, and the cushion lifts off to reveal a small storage bin underneath.
